Amuuso gets a new lease on life: the Belgian toy story continues

A familiar name in the Belgian toy industry is entering a new chapter.

Amuuso is making a fresh start under the leadership of Fons Walleyn and Ward Pattyn. This preserves a piece of Belgian toy history and gives the wholesaler new opportunities for the future.

Currently, the warehouses in Knokke are being emptied, thousands of products are being inventoried and sorted, and a new location is being sought where Amuuso can continue to grow.

One thing is certain: Amuuso will continue to exist.

From Beeusaert-Braet to Amuuso

For many years, Beeusaert-Braet was a well-established name in the Belgian toy sector. Under the leadership of Luc Braet and Caroline Degryse, a company was built that became known among generations of toy stores and retailers.

In 2021, the company was taken over and continued under the name Amuuso. This takeover ultimately did not bring the hoped-for future for the company.

Today, Fons and Ward are giving Amuuso a new start, with respect for the past and a clear focus on the future.

Luc and Caroline support this new story and remain a valuable link to the extensive knowledge, experience, and relationships built within Beeusaert-Braet and later Amuuso.

A new chapter

The coming period will be entirely focused on rebuilding.

The existing stock in Knokke is being sorted and inventoried, while we are looking for a new warehouse from which Amuuso can restart.

With Fons Walleyn and Ward Pattyn, Amuuso gains new entrepreneurial energy. We want to retain what is strong: the name, the knowledge of the toy market, the product range, and the long-standing customer relationships.

At the same time, we are building a modern organization step by step with new systems, strong logistics, and above all, a lot of attention to our customers.

Amuuso remains

Ultimately, this is the most important news.

A well-known Belgian toy wholesaler is not disappearing. Amuuso gets a new lease on life.

In the coming months, there will be moving, organizing, and rebuilding. With one clear goal: to do again what this company has been good at for decades:

bringing beautiful toys to stores and families.

Beeusaert-Braet became Amuuso. And today, a new chapter begins for Amuuso.
